Welcome to the Mystic River Historical Society.

MRHS is located in Mystic, Connecticut, centered around the famous Mystic Bridge which has connected the towns of Groton and Stonington for nearly 200 years.  We are some 400 strong and have been dedicated to preserving and promoting the historical traditions of the greater Mystic area since 1973.  We're a totally volunteer organization offering a wide variety of opportunities for those who are willing and able to contribute time and energy.

Summer 2008:  Family Activity Centers and Special Events - see our Events Calendar for details.

MRHS has planned several special events to celebrate special times and memories:  a Strawberry Festival, Grandparents' Day, and remembrances of the Hurricane of 1938.  In addition, Portersville Academy will be open throughout the summer, with activities and learning experiences planned especially for children and their parents or caregivers.  Details appear in our Events Calendar.  Please contact MRHS at 536-4779 with your questions.
