Scope & Content:
19th C. Souvenir Album of Fanny Morse, who lived in the house known now (2017) as the Captain Daniel Packer Inn house, Mystic, CT. The album contains poems and notes from friends, many beautiful engravings / illustrations, and a pressed leaf.

*Inscribed "Fanny," by Emma Watrous, not dated (between 1849-1852):

"If every kind wish were a rose
And the rose had not a thorn
Your path through life with loveliest flowers
Fanny I would adorn

But flowers may fade and genes (?) decay
And earthly joys depart
One treasure only will remain
The peace of the pure in heart
