2-"Portersville School" memo, handwritten by Alla Lynne Allyn (Mrs. John Lyman Allyn), DATED 1/20/75, re gold rush and Mystic boys, including her grandfather, Amos Clift (IV) who was given the money to go by his father. There were about a dozen others who also were going and a farewell party was held at the school and it was so overcrowded the floor began to give way, and people slid down in a heap on top of each other. 2 copies.
