Elizabeth Avery Weed Johnson as a young girl, b&w digital photo, ca. 1917, along with a short typed story about her experiences in New London during the WWI (she was 11 when the United States declared war on Germany, later in life she lived in Old Mystic and ran a gas station with her husband on the corner of Jerry Browne Road).
