Envelope with no corresponding letter addressed to Mr. George R. Waite, General Banks Expedition, Via New Orleans, 26 Regiment CV Co K Louisiana, postmarked from Mystic, April 6, no year indicated. It is likely 1863 based on information available about the campaign of General Nathaniel Prentice Banks in that area during the Civil War. [Note that the soldier was the son George Burril (B.) Waite, so the initial appears to be incorrectly used by Haley.] PERIOD 1863
