Cottrell Homestead on Cottrell Street, Mystic, CT. Built in 1827 by Joseph Cottrell who founded the first lumber yard in Connecticut, second in New England, 1930. Joseph Cottrell married Fanny Stanton in October, 1826 and built the house "soon after his marriage". The house has Greek Revival features, including a four-columned porch.
